"CAVU" means "ceiling and visibility unlimited", the best possible weather conditions for a pilot, and a way for pilots to wish each other well. We cover an eclectic range of topics in this blog: flying, politics, science, the state of higher education. Comments should be cogent, respectful, and, preferably, show some humor.
